WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF POMPEY

Pompey is a large part of Onondaga County, consisting of 66.5 square miles.  Pompey is the highest inhabited spot in the county. The town offers quiet solitude and spaciousness, natural beauty and a rich historical heritage!  We celebrated our 200th Anniversary in 1994.

There are many recreation locations within the boundaries of our Town, and also some neighboring facilities that are within a short drive. The Pompey Club (private), and there are Onondaga County Parks which provide picnic facilities for both large and small, some cross country skiing, swimming and hiking as well. These are Pratts Falls, with Camp Brockway, Highland Forest Park, and Jamesville Beach. A short drive can also lead you to a choice of three Ski Area facilities; Toggenburg Mountain Winter Sports Center, Labrador Mountain and Song Mountain Resort for some winter fun.

ONONDAGA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO BEGIN ORAN DELPHI ROAD BRIDGE PROJECT

The Onondaga County Department of Transportation will conduct a complete replacement of the bridge on Oran Delphi Road, over Limestone Creek in the Town of Pompey. The bridge is located on Oran Delphi Road between NYS Route 92 and Indian Hill Road.
Contract forces will be setting up a work zone beginning June 3, 2019. An offsite detour route will be utilized. Motorists are asked to follow the marked detour during the closure.
As with any highway project, the Onondaga County Department of Transportation encourages motorists to plan ahead for potential delays and to consider alternate routes, if possible. We respectfully ask the traveling public to please reduce speeds in work zones, use caution, and be mindful of construction workers and equipment.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of the 2019 construction season.
Questions regarding this project may be forwarded to Patty Jeschke, Project Coordinator, by call(315)435-3205.
